RACQ seeks update on withdrawn radars |

The RACQ is seeking talks with Queensland police over the withdrawal of 180 digital mobile radars.
The units will be upgraded amid concerns the equipment is too sensitive in the 'range of detection' and may give readings outside the operator's line-of-sight.
Police say there is no evidence anyone has been wrongly prosecuted, but the RACQ's Jim Kershaw says there is reason to be wary. "There's a lot of cynicism out there with the motoring public about the revenue raised out there with radar and speed cameras and so forth," he said.
"I guess this will make things a little bit worse, but as I said before the good news is they've acted on this, they've told the world there's something wrong and they're going to change the equipment.
